'The Power of the Dog' Leads the Pack at the 2021 Austin Film Critics Association

On January 11, 2022, the AFCA announced its list of 2021 winners, and Netflix's 'The Power of the Dog' took the top spot as Best Picture.

'The Power of the Dog' has been a leading contender going into awards season, and the often unique members of the Austin Film Critics Association have chosen Jane Campion's rancher epic for their top prize. Campion also won the award for Best Director, and her featured players earned top marks in the Best Supporting categories (Kirsten Dunst as Best Supporting Actress and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Best Supporting Actor).

Nicolas Cage received the Best Actor award for the revenge film, 'Pig', and Agathe Rousselle won Best Actress for the French thriller, 'Titane'.

A full list of the 2021 winners can be found via the Austin Film Critics Association.
